The Amp is an 11,000-square-foot a multidisciplinary art creation and education center built to spark imagination, amplify artistic voices, and bring people together. Our name points to the convergence of “ampersand,” a symbol of inclusivity and connection, and “amplifier,” a device that serves to increase the reach of the human voice. True to this dual inspiration, we offer classes, workshops, & lectures with professional artists; performances; camps; & community events to enrich local cultural & communal life & to create opportunities for all types of artists to connect, learn, & create.
